I am an astrophysicist and I study some of the most extreme and fascinating objects in our universe: neutron stars and black holes. Browse around to find out some things about me, my research, my group, and job opportunities.
Current whereabouts: As of December 2016, I am a group leader (Vidi laureate) at the Anton Pannekoek Institute for Astronomy of the University of Amsterdam (The Netherlands). Check out the team working with me and job vacancies in my research group.
Previous whereabouts: From 2014 till 2016, I was a Marie Curie fellow at the Institute of Astronomy of the University of Cambridge (Cambridge, UK). Between 2011 and 2014, I was a NASA Hubble fellow at the Astronomy Department of the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor, USA). I obtained my PhD degree in 2010 December after working for 4 years at the Anton Pannekoek Institute of the University of Amsterdam (The Netherlands).
